The
National
Science Foundation is sponsoring a series
of tutorials that will take place October
9-10, 2004, immediately prior to the conference.
These tutorials have been organized by the
tutorials chair, David
P. Morton. |
State-of-the-art
surveys in stochastic programming will be presented
at the Gallagher Theater, Student Union Memorial
Center.

Tutorial Program and ILOG Workshop"
Participants
The tutorials are open to Ph.D. students, other
academics and non-academics, and will assume
graduate-level knowledge in optimization and
in probability. The tutorials are free to full-time
academics. A registration fee of $500 applies
to non-academic participants. Those attending
the tutorials are encouraged to also attend
the subsequent SPX Conference.
Scholarships
Full-time Ph.D. students (both US and international)
are eligible for scholarships that may used
to offset tutorial-related travel costs. Twenty
scholarships of up to $500 will be awarded.
Please note that faculty nominations are required,
and we do not anticipate funding more than one
student per department.The deadline
for nominations is 30 April 2004. Scholarship
